My goal is never simply to sell a house. It’s for my clients to finish the process feeling informed, supported, and confident in their decisions—and happy enough with the experience to refer me to their family and friends.
Before real estate, I worked as a pastry chef in fine dining in San Francisco and Philadelphia. After moving to Portland, I made chocolate under the name Motherland Chocolates, flavored with spices from the part of India my family is from. My career has taken some unexpected turns, but hospitality, creativity, and caring for people have remained constants.
My path to real estate was shaped by my own experience as a buyer and seller. In a previous chapter of my life, I moved across three states in nine years. I bought and sold three different homes before becoming licensed, and every transaction was different—and every one was scary in its own way. I never quite felt like I had someone in my corner who made me feel fully supported or unwilling to let me settle.
That experience is why I became a Realtor. I want my clients to know that someone who truly has their back. Someone they can ask questions as many times as they need. Someone who will listen, educate, communicate honestly, and advocate fiercely while ensuring that the ultimate decision is theirs.
I especially enjoy the problem-solving and negotiation that happen during inspections. It can be an anxious time for buyers and sellers, but I enjoy working through the details, understanding what matters most, and finding a path forward. Open communication is essential to my approach. I want to know what my clients are excited about, but also what they’re worried or frustrated about, because that’s how I can advocate for them.
For buyers, my goal is for you to understand the entire process, your options, and the risks and rewards of your decisions. For sellers, I know preparing a home can feel emotional and overwhelming. I help break the process into manageable steps, anticipate potential challenges, and be as involved as you need me to be.
I’m fortunate to have a network of agents, contractors, lenders, and other professionals I can call on when a transaction requires another perspective or a creative solution.
In my free time, you can find me: embarrassing my kids, serving my community on the board of Our School, a non-profit providing community advocacy for LGBTQ youth, storytelling, doing stand up comedy, and reminding everybody to drink water.
