Let me begin my introduction by saying that you should know that I am not a “salesperson.” As an agent with a background in social services, my process is based on a holistic approach — I begin each real estate journey by identifying and meeting clients where they are, and helping guide them through the big moves and changes in their lives. I bring careful attention to the full experience and focus to identify what has specific value for each person.
Whether you are a first-time buyer, new to the area, looking for something specific, or if you have no idea where to begin, I welcome the opportunity to provide counsel and guidance. I have extensive negotiation training and experience, provide clear communication through inspection periods, and have years of experience working closely with inspection professionals and contractors. Rest assured, I enjoy assisting through each step at your own pace.
My style is greatly informed by my own experience buying my first home—I was left feeling like my purchase price wasn’t worth my realtor’s time, sent properties that didn’t match my criteria, and didn’t feel like a priority. Now, an agent, I ask questions, listen, counsel and am as hands-on with clients as they find helpful. I bring attention and focus to the entire process of buying or selling a home (why you are buying/selling, identifying priorities, setting expectations, preparing for inspections, negotiating offers, etc), not just the sale.
Years ago, my move from my home state of Florida brought me to a city with four seasons, amazing access to nature’s diversity—mountain ranges, rivers, forests, lakes, the Pacific Ocean, high desert, California and Washington. I purchased my first home in the North Tabor neighborhood and have lived here for many years. The area was farmland until the introduction of the Mount Tabor Villa streetcar line (where Montavilla gets its name) in 1892, and development quickly followed. Today, there is a wide variety of homes of different eras, styles, and a vibrant blend of long-term residents and newcomers.
In my downtime I am taking photos, going to concerts, traveling, camping, spending time with friends and meeting new people. Community engagement has always been a vital part of my life. In the past I have been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, volunteered with Portland Animal Welfare (PAW) Team, Multnomah County Animal Shelter, served on my neighborhood association, and am currently a hospice volunteer.
I truly love where I live and being a realtor.
